Troubleshooting Options

Wall Mount Split Systems:

  1. Try resetting the power to your unit. Head out to your switchboard and turn the switch off to the air-conditioner (usually labelled “A/C or Aircon”). After about 1 minute flick the switch back on and turn on the system. If this does not work contact your nearest service agent.
  1. Double check that you have the controller set to cooling (snowflake) or heating (sun) – it is easy to get these symbols on the remote confused! 
  2. Check that you have the fan onto a medium to high setting.
  3. Check the temperature you have your system set to. For cooling, it is best to set the controller anywhere between 20-23 degrees. For heating it is best to set the controller between 20-24 degrees.
  4. Clean the filters in the system.
  5. Try resetting the power to your unit. Head out to your switchboard and turn the switch off to the air-conditioner (usually labelled “A/C or Aircon”). After about 1 minute flick the switch back on and turn on the system.
  6. If you have had no luck with the above options contact your nearest service agent.

Evaporative Cooling Systems:

Try resetting the power to your unit, you can do this 2 ways:

1. Head up into the roof space and locate the power point where your evaporative cooler is plugged into. Turn the power point off and unplug the cooler. After about 1 minute plug the cooler back into the power point and turn the power point on. Try turn on the cooler from inside as usual. 

2. Head out to your switchboard and turn the main power switch off to your house, wait 1 minute then switch it back on and turn on the cooler as usual. 

3. If you have no luck with the above options contact your nearest service agent.

  1. Make sure your windows are open in every room where there is an outlet in and make sure that your doors are open. The cooler may struggle to operate if there is not enough windows and doors open.
  2. Bump the fan speed up to high.
  3. If it is an extremely hot or humid day you may find that the cooler is struggling to make the home cool, this is completely normal! Many if not all air-conditioners will struggle during extreme temperatures.
  4. Contact your nearest service agent if you have no luck with the above. 

Try resetting the power to your unit, you can do this 2 ways:

        1. Head up into the roof space and locate the power point where                 your evaporative cooler is plugged into. Turn the power point off             and unplug the cooler. After about 1 minute plug the cooler                     back into the power point and turn the power point on. Try                       turning  on the cooler from inside as usual. 

        2. Head out to your switchboard and turn the main power switch                off to your house, wait 1 minute then switch it back on and turn              on the cooler as usual. 

Contact your nearest service agent if the above options do not work.

Gas Ducted Heating Systems:

Try resetting the power to your unit, you can do this 2 ways:

1. Head to where your gas ducted heating system is located (usually in the roof, underfloor or at the side of the house) and turn off the power point which the unit is plugged into. After about 1 minute turn it back on and turn the system on as usual.

2. Head out to your switchboard and turn the main power switch off to your house, wait 1 minute then switch it back on and turn on the heater as usual. 

If the above options do not work contact your nearest service agent.

  1. Clean your return air filter(s).
  2. Make sure you have the controller set to heating and the temperature set between 20-23 degrees.
  3. Make sure the fan speed is set to high.
  4. If you are able to, check that all ducts are attached securely and in good condition. It is common for a duct to come off here and there as well as for pests and rodents to cause damage to the ducts.
  5. If you have no luck with the above options contact your nearest service agent. 

Try resetting the power to your unit, you can do this 2 ways:

  1. Head to where your gas ducted heating system is located (usually in the roof, underfloor or at the side of the house) and turn off the power point which the unit is plugged into. After about 1 minute turn it back on and turn the system on as usual.

        2.  Head out to your switchboard and turn the main power switch                 off to your house, wait 1 minute then switch it back on and turn               on the heater as usual.

If the above options do not work contact your nearest service agent to rectify.
